[It's not like Carolina has had a lot of interaction with him at home, aside from watching him burn stuff down, twice... But the sim troopers, all of them, are more than team mates, which is what has her texting today.
Even if she might regret it, and considering small talk has never really been her thing-]
[ Oh! What a wonderful surprise to find right after his daily nap on a bed of roses. ]
Hey Carolina!
I didn't know you did social calls! Why didn't you tell me?! I would've tickled your phone a long time ago! Now that I know, I'll be sure to keep you up to date with all my comings and goings! Oh! It'll be great! We can make our own group chat! Here! Let me invite you!
[ A minute later. ]
You have been invited to Secret Agent Chat! by Franklin D. Donut.
Well sure! I mean, it was a little touch and go there for a while on account that I started planning out all of your bloody murders in my diary, but then one day I woke up and it was the funniest thing. I didn't want to blow you up anymore. I mean, sure I'd blow you but not like that if you know what I mean. ;)
Anyways, by the time, I resurfaced I'd already moved into a new place and planted a garden. I guess I was so busy decorating I didn't have time to follow up on your bloody deaths. Pretty wild right? Talking about wild. I was thinking of throwing a welcome home party, but I'm not sure if it's a little too on the nose if I throw one for myself, soooo I was thinking. Why don't you say you're throwing it and I plan it! It'll be the best of both worlds! You get to show off your newly acquired socials skills and I get to plan a party! It's a win-win!
Thanks for letting me stay for a while. It was super nice of you guys to let me use Epsilon's room while I was there. I know it's not easy to share, Grif still hasn't quite got that down yet. Sarge too, now that I think about of it. And Simmons doesn't like anyone messing with his organizational charts, and don't even try to touch Lopez tools! That fiery Latin temper of his gets all hot and bothered if you do! Anyways, I just wanted to say that I'm glad I have such wonderful friends who are supportive and super cool and who would totally throw me a housewarming party as a gesture of their friendship and if they needed help with anything I just so happen to have put together a 'How to' book on planning the perfect housewarming party for your friendly neighborhood red sim trooper. It's just something I had lying around, so if you ever need to borrow it go right ahead~
[There... is no corner store, so he better have understood that sarcasm.
... probably didn't.
And there it goes. That other shoe dropping. Is he trying to get her to feel bad or guilty, because aside from dropping off some items, she really isn't planning on any sort of a house warming.
Maybe she'll find him something? That would cover it, right? Something for decoration? A framed wanted poster? She's not exactly a gift giver, let alone a party thrower.
A part of her does want to question whether or not there is a book, and where this book has come from, but once she goes down that rabbit hole, she's going to be stuck down there for a while. No, it's fine. Inconsequential. Not important at the moment.]
Thanks, but no thanks. You can keep your book. Might need it for kindling. I'll be by later, unless you've got other plans.
[ It was impossible to miss Donut moving out, but Wash had a lot of bridges to rebuild after that last event and honestly, he wasn't sure how to approach it. But when the other soldier doesn't move back AND there are animals trampling through the city?
He's probably just fine, with that shield, but... ]
Hey, Wash! I didn't know you did social calls too! Why didn't you tell me you and Carolina were into that stuff! If I'd known I would've called you both ages ago!
Sooo~ How are you doing? Anything new? Any housewarming parties I should be aware of? ;)
Sure I am. I've got my shield, remember. I saw the stampede and made some popcorn to watch the show. It was like the PG-13 version of the running of the bulls back on Earth. I used to beg my Mom's back home to let me go but no it was always 'Franklin, we're not letting a bull have their way with you'. Really, Mom?! I'm not just gonna let any horny stud gore me in the ass!
Anyways! I had a good time, got a nap in between on a bed of flowers safe inside my shield all courtesy of the whole god-hood thing. I'm sure one day, you'll be deemed worthy enough to be a god too, Wash. I mean, there's all sorts of gods these days. They've got a god of death, insanity, and even cars! Oh! And I bet there's a spot open for Party Planners~ Specifically, house warming parties~ I've got a book all about planning one if you need any help! :)
I remember, I figured it would keep you safe but I wanted to check anyway. And I'm not touching the bulls thing with a ten foot pole.
I don't think I'm god material. Especially not party planning god material. Besides, I'm already learning magic, I don't want to be too badass or you'll all be intimidated by me, right?
[ It's an attempt at a joke and also dodging this whole housewarming thing. Because seriously you don't want him to plan you a party. ]
OH! Are you and Carolina doing a show together?!!!!
Wow! Who would've thought you two would end up in the entertainment business after your whole Freelancer gig. Oh! Do you have an agent yet?! Because I am a very good agent. I even launched my own Franklin Donut Productions agency a while back. It's been a rough turn since that whole Chorus incident cut me off from my production crew and the whole fighting a civil war business, but as soon as I get back, I'll be sure to contact you both! We can be partners! Red Hot Partners!
Donut... It's not for entertainment, it's practical. It's real, not tricks, that's why it's so difficult. And I'm not telling people because it's hard and I'm not very good at it yet.
Okay, I'll be over in a little bit. I've got to pick something up first.
[ And so he does -- he has to check for permission but then swings by the northern garden and picks up a little tomato plant that's been sheltered by one of the domes, in a cute pot and everything. Then he heads to Donut's love shack, knocking politely with the pot in the crook of his other elbow. ]

I'm fine. But you don't want me to try and throw you a party -- maybe you should talk to Tucker, he'd be good at that.
